Street Dogs of Cotacachi

They cannot help themselves.

They are the gentle dogs with hopeful eyes, the young mothers struggling to raise puppies with no food in their own bellies. They are the cats living on rooftops and hiding their kittens in holes in walls. They are the injured dogs, who know no relief from pain.

Who are they?

They are the homeless dogs and cats of Cotacachi. Animals who may never know a kind word, a place of safety, or freedom from hunger and the endless cycle of reproduction. They cannot help themselves.

Won’t you please Help Us Help Them?

We are Amici Cannis Animal Hospital and our mission is to improve the plight of homeless dogs and cats in Cotacachi and all its surrounding communities. We have spayed, neutered and provided care for over 5000 dogs and cats since May of 2016… but there are so many more in need of help!

An un-spayed female dog, her mate and all of their puppies, if none are ever neutered or spayed can create up to:
