On March 30th, we celebrated a monumental milestone—the groundbreaking for our new animal hospital in Cotacachi, Ecuador. Despite the looming threat of rain, we were thrilled to see a wonderful turnout of supporters, including both local residents and individuals who have made Ecuador their home in recent years. The event was open to the public, and we were delighted to welcome everyone who wanted to join us in commemorating this significant step forward for animal welfare.

We were especially touched to see families from the communities we work with around Cotacachi come out to celebrate with us. Additionally, friends traveled all the way from Quito, the capital, to spend a few hours showing their enthusiasm and support for our exciting new venture.

Guests were treated to a variety of local delicacies, including artisanal gelato from Cotacachi’s own Incanto Gelateria, delectable cheeses from La Verde Oveja, and locally raised meats from L&S Meats. These generous sponsors helped make the celebration even more special and memorable for everyone who attended.
